
One of the traits that has made Marlene Siersema successful is her ability of merging her left brain practical business wisdom, with her right brain creative talents. She has started, developed and spun off several companies and invented products. She refers to herself as a “serial entrepreneur”. The purple hair and wild music wasn’t my usual training program. This wild video was necessary as I had invented an award winning salon product called: Crystal Film. The product was reusable and recyclable: ahead of its time in the industry. I spun the Crystal Film product off to another company it is still selling today as a professionals’ styling tool.” In her latest book, The Thinking Side to Thin: What I learned, to lose, a whopping 170 pounds that diet books don’t tell you. She steps out of her business environment to help others with the struggle of weight loss. This book is a culmination of what she discovered about the all important mental component of loosing weight. She fought morbid obesity for over 30 years, it ended when she started mixing practical business thinking methods with common sense, with a twist on psychology; bingo...steady weight loss. She wants the world to know you can change your size and your life from your head down. Although she refers to herself as a recovering morbidly obese person; she now has total control of her weight problem for life. The book has nothing to do with will-power or diets; it is funny, practical and shows anyone struggling with a weight problem that with the right mental changes life can be lighter. Counter-Weight the GameDr. Marlene developed another invention for today’s diet conscious world. A possible way to change people’s relationship with food and instill better eating habits. She calls the board game Counter-Weight, fun to play and safe for the entire family.
